CIEL Group has announced the appointment of Mark van Beuningen as the Group Strategic and Investment Executive, effective May 1, 2024. With over 20 years of experience in both strategic and operational roles, van Beuningen brings a wealth of expertise to the position.
Mark van Beuningen’s tenure as Group CEO of CIM Financial Services Ltd for more than seven years saw the company achieve sustained growth and strengthen its market leadership in consumer credit. Van Beuningen’s experience includes advising international and high-growth emerging companies at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), working in the finance team at Macquarie Bank in Sydney, and serving as the director of audit for KPMG Financial Services Assurance in Cape Town.
For CIEL, van Beuningen’s arrival is a significant milestone. His addition to the leadership team positions the group for its next phase of growth and investment, highlighting a commitment to expand its presence in Asia, especially in India, and in East Africa. He will assist the leadership team in implementing the Group’s strategy, including the successful execution of its new strategic and investment roadmap, accelerating growth drivers, and enhancing value creation.
