The American Chamber of Commerce in Mauritius (AMCHAM Mauritius) has collaborated with Analysis Kantar to introduce the AMCHAM Mauritius Business Climate Index (ABCI). This index serves as a useful tool for assessing and understanding the economic landscape of Mauritius.

In a recent announcement, AMCHAM Mauritius, in close cooperation with Analysis Kantar, launched the AMCHAM Mauritius Business Climate Index (ABCI) book. The ABCI is a strategic index designed to reflect the business community’s perceptions, including both AMCHAM members and companies operating in Mauritius. It carefully examines key factors such as government policies, tax structures, corruption, and regulatory compliance, providing a comprehensive overview of Mauritius’ economic situation.

The ABCI aims to serve as a valuable reference for both government authorities and the business sector, encouraging thoughtful reflection and the implementation of effective strategies. It calls on decision-makers to address ongoing challenges and enhance Mauritius’s appeal as a commercial hub.

Ravin Lama, President of AMCHAM Mauritius, expressed, “The AMCHAM Mauritius Business Climate Index signifies a commitment to strengthening commercial relations between the United States and Mauritius, going beyond being a simple report. The initiative also draws inspiration from the vision of the United States Ambassador to Mauritius, Henry Jardine, for which they extend their gratitude.”

Ambassador Henry Jardine, the United States Ambassador to Mauritius, commended this initiative, acknowledging AMCHAM Mauritius’s efforts to foster a better understanding of economic and business issues in Mauritius.

Mohamed Mouratsing, CEO of Analysis Kantar Indian Ocean, emphasized, “We are honored to collaborate with AMCHAM Mauritius on the development of the ABCI. We are convinced of the crucial importance of in-depth business climate analysis to guide strategic decisions. The ABCI, with our proven methodologies and analytical expertise, proves to be an invaluable instrument, offering pertinent insights into the economic dynamics of Mauritius. We have full confidence in its ability to steer strategies toward a prosperous economic future effectively.” This report is currently accessible at the main office of the American Chamber of Commerce located in Ebene and on AMCHAM’s website, www.amchammauritius.com.
