Mauritius luxury hospitality company ‘The Lux Collective’ has partnered with ZK Venture Company in Tanzania to manage the 5-star hotel LUX* Marijani Zanzibar. This strategic move by The Lux Collective aims to strengthen its brand presence in this emerging market, given the rapid economic growth in the East African region.
Zanzibar is positioned as a prime destination for sustainable luxury travel, and LUX* Marijani Zanzibar is located in Pwani Mchangani on the northeast coast. With a private beach and the Indian Ocean as its backdrop, this luxurious property draws inspiration from modern Arab architecture and design. The 82 spacious, comfortable, and elegant rooms and suites offer personalized and warm service, characteristic of LUX*. Boasting excellent facilities such as meeting and conference spaces, international and local cuisine restaurants, a spa providing bespoke holistic wellness experiences, a pool, and more, the hotel is an ideal destination for business trips, leisure getaways, and weddings.
“We are privileged and excited to partner with ZK Venture Company in Zanzibar to unlock the full potential of this boutique 5-star beachfront hotel, further enhancing its level of luxury and service. This marks the beginning of our significant partnership in the East African region, where the tourism potential is limitless. We are confident that this collaboration will elevate our flagship luxury brand, LUX*, while continuing to expand our footprint globally,” said Paul Jones, CEO of The Lux Collective.
Natasha Manji from ZK Venture Company stated, “We are thrilled to be the first strategic partner of The Lux Collective in East Africa. The group’s motto, ‘Every Moment Matters, and We Care About What Matters,’ resonates with our own values. This partnership, driven by shared visions, is a natural association that promises growth and success. We are truly inspired by the ethos of LUX*, which celebrates life through extraordinary experiences. Its exemplary standards provide radiant, lighter, and brighter hospitality. By collaborating with LUX* to redefine our luxurious hotel, I predict that LUX* Marijani Zanzibar will become a gem in Zanzibar, where the beauty of nature, distinctive culinary experiences, and sustainable wellness retreats will be uniquely appealing. Furthermore, we will focus on environmentally friendly and community-driven initiatives to create a greener future for all.”
With this expansion, The Lux Collective currently manages 17 operational resorts and hotels in Mauritius, the Maldives, Réunion Island, China, and Tanzania. Additionally, the company has 12 other hotels under development in Asia and the Middle East, further solidifying its global presence.
